BAME Icon of June 2021- Kofi Annan 



Kofi Annan was born in 1938 and was a Ghanaian diplomat who served as the  Secretary-General of the United Nations from 1997 to 2006. Annan and the UN were the co-recipients of the 2001 Nobel Peace Prize. He was awarded the Peace Prize for having reformed the UN and for having given priority to human rights.
