Intent The English curriculum will take students on a learning journey, in which all students will acquire the communication and critical thinking skills that will enable them to become successful and confident members of, and contributors to, society, and which gives pupils access to the accumulated knowledge that is part of their cultural heritage and identity.

The English Department offer Theatre visits for students in all year groups, both in school and through external trips; We offer students the ability to join the Renaissance Reading Programme, where they can celebrate becoming Word Millionaires; Every year, we celebrate World Book day, with all students. Our enrichment programme is currently under review, as we intend to be able to offer extensive opportunities for the 20/21 academic year. |
