Specialising in further education for 16-18 year olds for more than thirty years, Ashton Sixth Form College continues to provide excellent educational opportunities for the variety and individuality of their students. They continue in the values set by the foundation of the original Grammar School: equality, aspiration and excellence.

 

A dedicated website has also been set up for your Year 11 pupils  https://nextlevel.asfc.ac.uk/ which will give them access to Ashton's  virtual events, course videos, frequently asked questions, making an application and taking a campus tour.

The  Virtual Open Evening gives students an opportunity to explore Ashton Sixth Form College, tour the campus, meet the teaching and support teams and ask any questions about college life.

 

Applications and Interviews

The application form is now live and can be accessed by visiting www.asfc.uk/apply 
The deadline for applications is Friday 29th January 2021. Any application received after this date will be placed on a waiting list and looked at after the main enrolment has taken place.


Once students have submitted their application, they will receive an Interview date - all of this will be communicated to them via the email address they have provided on their application.
 

Clarendon Sixth Form College-

As a successful sixth form college with a long standing tradition of A level delivery, Clarendon Sixth Form College started life in Hyde in 1957 as Hyde Grammar School. It became a Sixth Form College in 1979 and relocated to Ashton town centre in 2015 as Clarendon Sixth Form College.

Clarendon are planning on holding two telephone interview evenings in the coming weeks; Monday 25th January 2021 and Monday 8th February 2021 (to be confirmed). Between these two dates, they aim to have interviewed all applicants who have applied up to 11th January 2021, including those who missed their interview on 30th November 2020.  Any applications received on or after 11th January 2021 will be interviewed in March, date TBC. If you submit your application BEFORE 11th January if they wish to be included in the next round of interviews.

 

Clarendon Sixth Form College will be holding another virtual open day from Monday 8th February 2021, which will be supported throughout the week with a social media campaign every day until Friday 12th February.

 

In addition to the fantastic resources created for our November open day launch, Clarendon Sixth Form College will feature additional information regarding the “Futures” programme, aimed at gifted and talented students who aspire to attend prestigious universities.

 

The virtual Open Day is aimed at all school leavers, but particularly those who haven’t yet applied. There is still time for students to submit their applications.

 

 

As always, students will be contacted with their interview date, and are encouraged to be available with their phone fully charged and on loud throughout the evening. Another report will be sent to you in the coming weeks which will include details of interview dates so that you can support and follow up with those students.
